DIDACTIC PRINCIPLES OF DEVELOPING COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE IN THE FUTURE TEACHER’S PERSONALITY

This article analyzes the process of developing communicative competence in future educators through the lens of the competence-based approach. It highlights how the concept of competence, originally introduced from other disciplines, has gained a firm place within the didactic system and plays a significant role in enhancing the quality of education. The study provides a theoretical foundation for distinguishing between the notions of “communication” and “interaction,” and examines how individuals’ social roles influence communicative behavior. It identifies academic subjects, socio-cultural activities, and personal experience as key factors in fostering professional competencies among prospective teachers. The findings indicate that the unsystematic development of communicative competence may lead to challenges in pedagogical practice, including conflict situations and a decline in educational quality. Therefore, it is essential to cultivate this competence gradually, taking into account communicative values, psychological states, and the need for interaction. The article concludes by proposing that communicative competence should be recognized as a critical factor influencing professional success.
